Abstract This paper takes the spread and diffusion of Catholicism along Beibu Gulf in Guangxi as an example and attempts to discover the geographical foundations of the spread and diffusion of catholicism. It shows that the spread and distribution of Catholicism conform to the fact that the missionaries landed from the coastal harbors and diffused inland along the road by point-axis model. At the beginning of the Catholicism entering Guangxi mainland, Weizhou Island acted as a transition center on their way to Guangxi. The phsent paper will enrich the religious geography research.
